FREE ONLINE Mini Mental Bootcamp For Western Riders

Everything you need to know about this exclusive 3-part LIVE event!

The best part? It’s FREE, Live, and Online!

In advance of opening the doors to Nicole’s signature program on August 28th, Nicole is going to be offering a sampler of her extensive expertise through an exclusive FREE ONLINE 3 hour mini-course called “The Mental Bootcamp for Western Riders.”

Now, we know you’re busy and it can be hard to make time for three hours of LIVE mental coaching, so we’re offering complimentary FREE recordings of each session to registrants who want to catch it at a different time—over lunch hour, on the treadmill, during your commute, while you’re riding… just whenever is convenient for you. (Of course, we do think the best experience is live and encourage you to attend live if possible).

Well, that sounds interesting. How do you know if this is a good fit for you?

Is Your Mind Weak and Atrophied?

Symptoms of a weak and atrophied mind can include:

  • Lack of Focus / Easily Distracted

  • Decreased Confidence

  • Inconsistent Performance

  • Poor Communication with Your Horse

  • Avoiding Hard Things

  • Physical Symptoms

  • Emotional Volatility

  • Reliance on Bad Habits

  • Training & Care Standards Slipping

This Is What It Can Look Like

A lot of us western riders assume we’re strong, tough, gritty–and feel shame if there’s any sign of weakness, any sign of imperfection. We go to great lengths to hide everything we can under the carpet, even if that carpet starts getting downright lumpy. While each of us has the potential to be unstoppable, without proper care and feeding our minds become emaciated, weak, and unpredictable.

At home, you’ve got a nice relaxed, calm horse. But at shows, your horse is fidgety, nervous, and unfocused. Many riders miss that often it’s NOT the horse worrying about the banner in the arena. In many cases, it’s the RIDER worrying about things, and their horse is just picking up on the rider’s mental state.

For riders with an atrophied mind, they might find their horse is mysteriously “less responsive”. Your consistency at shows may be all over the place. You may consistently overspin at center if you’re a reiner. You might miss roping shots, or overshoot barrels. Without a strong mental foundation, your focus just isn’t there to guarantee steady, reliable, CONSISTENT performance when it matters.

Then you get to the competition! Oh boy, there you are. All that sweating isn’t just from that hot July sun. You notice tighter muscles in your own body. You’re breathing faster, and your heart is beating faster, too. You’re pretty sure you just can’t do this. You enter the arena, and, crap! You forget your pattern! At some point, you just have an oppressive sense of panic or impending doom! (Don’t worry, we won’t judge - you’re not alone!)

Did you know even some common horse behaviors have a root in the rider, not the horse itself? And that the rider’s problem can often be based in mental blocks? For example, a horse kicking out during lead changes is a major penalty. But did you assume your horse forgot their training? Or just lost their mind? Behavior like that can stem from a rider over-cueing and jabbing their horse with their spurs because they can’t handle their nerves on show day. (Happened to a client of Nicole’s, and once she got her head straightened out, the lead changes “magically” improved, and the kickouts disappeared).

Have you ever noticed a horse shaking their head - oh no what’s happening! Sometimes it’s because the rider has a death grip on the reins… because the RIDER doesn’t trust the horse. Doesn’t trust the training. And heaven forbid you ever lash out at a friend or loved one because YOU are disappointed in yourself and don't know how to handle yourself and all your own dang emotions.

A mind in need of training may also get overwhelmed and freeze. Have you ever been in the arena and just felt frozen and stuck? Like you basically stop actively riding, and ride way too slow. (Does your trainer ever say, “More Forward!” or “More Leg!”) Yep, that block is ALSO in your mind and manifests in how your horse goes under saddle.

If things get bad enough, you may even find yourself avoiding going to the barn or to shows. Or avoiding doing simple everyday things your horse “doesn’t like” out of fear.

If you winced at any of the examples above, seeing yourself in certain particulars of his story, all hope is NOT lost.

There’s Still (Always!) Hope!

In The Mental Mini Bootcamp for Western Riders, Nicole will walk you through, step-by-step how you can:

  • Light up the show again

  • Reconnect with your horse

  • Regain laser-like focus in - and out - of the pen

  • Rebuild bullet-proof confidence

  • Achieve reliable stellar show performance

  • Develop grit that makes you grin in the face of difficulty

  • Experience deep inner calm and serenity

  • Reclaim the joy of riding and showing

Skeptical? Good! I’m about as cynical and skeptical as they come, and trust me when I say: Nicole is the real deal. Sure, I’m just the Non-Horsey Husband here, but I’m no dummy (I’ve spent nearly a decade working as a Senior Data Scientist) and in the 14 years we’ve been married I’ve observed numerous other equestrians in many disciplines—enough that I know Nicole is one of the best. She has my complete and highest endorsement, and not just as her husband and co-founder. One of the biggest reasons I married Nicole: she’s an exceptional person in everything she undertakes: her marriage to me, her mothering of our children, the running and optimization of our household, the training of our horses, her ability to transform her client’s riding, her ability to constantly improve her own riding—and every area of her life. She’s relentlessly focused on her and her clients’ self improvement.

But Does it Work?

Yes, I’m biased, but these folks aren’t:
