READY TO RIDE LIGHTS OUT? 🔥🐴🏆

Steal my exercise to uncover hidden mental blocks stalling your progress

I just learned some new slang this week—“lights out.” Ever heard it? So what’s it mean to ride “lights out.”

It means:

🔥Riding at your absolute best—every maneuver locked in.
💥 Going all in, no hesitation—stepping into the show pen (or any ride) fully committed, mentally and physically.

🚀 Unstoppable performance—riding so well that you dominate the competition or feel completely in sync with your horse.

🧠 A fearless mindset—no overthinking, no doubt, just pure presence and belief.

Sounds pretty damn good, right?

But are you actually ready for that level of riding? The best rides of your life?

Most riders don’t even realize how much they’re holding themselves back. You train, you practice, you put in the work—but your mind is running the game, and it determines 95% of your success in the saddle.

So let’s clear the blocks you didn’t even know were there.

Here’s an exercise to uncover hidden mental blocks blocking your progress.

Grab a pen and answer these for yourself:

1️⃣ What am I afraid is going to happen if I ride my absolute best tomorrow?
2️⃣ What am I nervous I will have to sacrifice to become the rider I dream of?
3️⃣ What is REALLY stopping me from stepping into my power in the show pen?

💡 THIS is what’s holding you back from winning and leveling up.

And this is alllll mental, baby. 🧠💥

What’s this look like?

Well, for me, when I asked myself these questions, I realized I was afraid that doing well at shows would mean sacrificing my family.

I was afraid my husband would resent me. That I’d have to ride all the time to be successful and I’d never see my kids again. That I’d have to sacrifice my marriage and my family in order to win. And I didn’t want to make that tradeoff.

So subconsciously I held myself back from being the rider I wanted to be. 🤯

I had to go have conversations with my husband so I understood that he loves and supports me.

I had to make sure that I schedule family time AND barn time.

And holy crap. When I did that, I started exploding in how fast my horse and I were making progress!

Who’d a thunk it, huh?

Your mind creates limits that aren’t actually there. But when you combine training time with a killer mental game? You’re unstoppable.
